No Gap Provider – All Health Funds – Murdoch Patients

Daniel understands patients are seeking high quality care in addition to better value from their health funds. Daniel does not charge a surgical ‘gap’ for robotic knee replacement surgery. Many of Daniel’s regular anaesthetist are also ‘no gap’ and this can be arranged for you on request. Out of pocket costs may still arise as a hospital admission excess or for tests (eg blood tests etc).

Perth Orthopaedic & Sports Medicine Centre (POSM)

POSM is Western Australia’s oldest and largest orthopaedic practice. A long history of clinical excellence, compassionate care and innovative surgery has been established by the practice. Daniel is a member of POSM and consults in West Perth and Queensgate Specialist Centre, Canningvale. Many patients in the Murdoch area and surrounding southern suburbs enjoy utilizing the Queensgate Specialist Centre, due to being easier to find / park and navigate compared to the large hospital clinics.

The Hollywood Hospital Difference

Most of Dr Meyerkort’s joint replacement are performed at Hollywood Hospital. With Hollywood performing around 300 joint replacements a month you are in an excellent centre for joint replacement. Hollywood is the only hospital in Western Australia to offer both the MAKO and ROSA surgical robots for knee replacement. An excellent nursing / physiotherapy and pain management service means that recovery for most patients is smooth and predictable. Most patients are ready to return home after 3 nights in hospital
